Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion” G.W.F. Heigel

Everyone should have a passion in life and mine is photography. I dream of leaving a "legacy" for my children. I love to write but I am no poet, yet I express myself through pictures and one day when I'm no longer able to hold a camera in my hands, my children can look back and say..."my mom did that."

Its hard to classify me as a specific photographer. I believe in diversity and not just in a specialty. I'm luck to have some amazing "assistant" my son, Jeremy who is following in my footsteps so when I can't, he can.

My father was a big inspiration to me…always taking pictures when I was a child and I fell in love with it.

Whenever I can I will still use film!

I currently live in Western KY but I do travel to Southern IN as well as parts of IL, TN & MO. Also depending on the work I have been known to go to other states as well. Just let me know what you need and we can see what we can come up with!

Facebook?

My son recently came to me and told me that he had no decent pictures for his FB profile.  Mind you he already has 247 pictures posted 0_o but I guess he felt he needed some more.  But he didn't want any "I took these myself with my camera phone".  Nope.  He wanted me to take some shots of him that weren't typical of him and his personality.  Mission accomplished!

Millie Mini Session

Sometimes when we get older we tend to forget ourselves.  We no longer dress up just because or take that extra moment to add some makeup on.  We get stuck in this rut as we take care of our families, our jobs and others around us and we no longer take care of ourselves.  Millie is one of those people.  After raising 3 kids and working for most of her life she's become more simpler in her aspect of herself.  So when the idea of taking her pictures came up I definitely decided to glam it up a bit.  I wish I had taken before pics now!  I did her hair (which is straight straight!!) and proceeded with adding some light touches of makeup to bring out her outer beauty to match the inside.  I think she almost freaked out when I bought out the purple eyeliner!   You would not believe that the woman in this picture is...well...old enough to be a greatgrandma!  I swear we took 20 yrs off of her!! But in the end it worked out and she looks great as well as being extremely pleased with her new pics...or could it still be shell shock?  :)

MY FAVORITE!  I think she has that whole Betty Boop /Betty Paige look going on here!

(Used green screen here...only the second time I've used it and still have some mixed emotions on it)

Now you tell me photographers/artists out there...Do you go that extra mile to make your clients feel special and its their day?  What all do you do?
